Choice stays with you throughout your Cuddle Therapy session.
Cuddle Therapy is a professional, fully clothed and non-sexual wellbeing service centred around consensual platonic connection and touch.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want.
There is no particular amount of touch that you need to agree to.
And choosing to take part in Cuddle Therapy never means giving blanket consent to whatever happens next.
We’ll communicate and make choices together as we go.
Consent isn’t something we agree once at the beginning of a session and then forget about.
We’ll check in and communicate throughout. You can say yes to something and later decide you’d like to change it. You can ask for more or less contact, change position, take a break, create some space or stop altogether.
You don’t need to explain or justify a boundary or a change of mind.
Consent is also mutual. I may pause, change or decline an interaction too.
A yes to one thing is not a yes to everything, and a yes now doesn’t have to remain a yes later.
A session might include conversation, shared space, sitting or lying together, holding hands, supportive platonic touch or cuddling.
Physical touch isn’t required at all.
There is no particular experience, amount of touch or outcome that you’re expected to achieve.
You might know exactly what you'd like. You might want me to offer suggestions. You might discover your preferences as we go.
All of those are welcome.
All touch within Cuddle Therapy is strictly platonic and non-sexual.
Sexual touching or activity, kissing on the lips, sexual requests or sexual behaviour are not part of the service.
If a professional boundary is crossed, I may pause or end an interaction or session depending on the circumstances.
Clear boundaries aren't there to make the experience clinical. They help create a space where closeness can be explored without an expectation that it needs to become something else.
People can respond to touch and closeness in lots of different ways.
You might experience relaxation, comfort, emotion or changes in physical sensations. You might laugh, cry, become very quiet or notice very little at all.
Bodies can also have involuntary responses, including changes in breathing, warmth, trembling or an erection. These responses can happen automatically and don’t necessarily indicate sexual interest or consent.
There’s no need to be embarrassed by a bodily response.
If anything feels more intense than you'd like, or you simply want something to change, we can pause, move, create more space or take a break.
There is never an expectation to continue simply because something has already begun.
You don’t need to arrive with a clear idea of how you’d like your session to unfold.
I can offer suggestions and guide you through different possibilities for positions, types of touch and ways of spending the time together. We can explore these at a comfortable pace, noticing what feels right for you and adjusting as we go.
You’re always free to accept, decline or suggest something different, and to change your mind at any point.
Guidance is available. Choice remains yours.
Cuddle Therapy is a wellbeing service and isn't a substitute for medical care, psychological therapy, counselling or other professional healthcare.
You don’t need to disclose personal experiences or history simply to justify a boundary.
I do ask that you share any relevant needs or considerations that could affect your ability to participate safely and comfortably, so that we can consider together what might support you.
What you share during your session will be treated respectfully and confidentially.
There may be limited circumstances where information needs to be shared for safeguarding, legal or professional reasons. Where appropriate and possible, I would discuss this with you first.
Before we meet in person, you'll have an opportunity to read the full consent information and share anything you'd like me to know.
We'll also talk things through during your free online call, so there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether you'd like to book.
And consent doesn't finish there.
We'll continue checking in, communicating and choosing together throughout your session.
Your next step is a free 15–20 minute online call. It's simply a chance for us to meet, talk through any questions and see whether working together feels right for both of us.
